• Weight Room Safety Rules

    These rules must be followed at all times. It is for your safety.

    1. You are only allowed in the weight room with a coach present.
    2. No horsing around, pushing, distracting another athlete.
    3. No food or drink in the weight room.
    4. Do not sit on lifting equipment during rest intervals.
    5. Must have spotters on free lifting stations (i.e. bench, incline press, squats, etc.)
    6. Report any injury to the coach immediately.
    7. If you are done lifting, do not sit around and chat with friends, go home.
    8. Rack your weights before leaving.
    9. The weight room is not a place to hang out. If you are not planning to workout, then you should leave the weight room.
    10. The weight room is a place to be serious about improving yourself. Acting inappropriately (i.e. showing off, inappropriate touching, horseplay, will NOT be tolerated.)
    11. Wear appropriate footwear and apparel for the weight room. No open toe shoes, work boots or crop tops should be worn in the weight room.

     

    Weight Room Safety Rules Waiver must be signed and returned to the Athletic Trainer or Athletic Director before the student can use the weight room. 

    Athletic Training

    Athletic Training Room Rules

    1. All athletes receiving treatment must sign in before receiving any treatment; this includes “just getting ice or a band aid”
    2. Athletes will be treated on a first come first serve basis on practice days. On game days, away athletes will receive treatment first, followed by home game athletes, and then lastly those who have practice.
    3. Wait in the hall / cafeteria if I am currently working with an athlete. 
    4. No profanity, derogatory/abusive or disrespectful language allowed. 
    5. Make sure to use indoor voices and keep your behavior in check.
    6. No food or beverages, other than water, is allowed in the athletic training room.
    7. Please leave bags, shoes and other clothing outside of the athletic training room. DO NOT leave stuff on the floor or in front of the doorway.
    8. Student-athletes are not permitted to discuss the health information of any athlete that is receiving care within the athletic training room.
    9. Please arrive early before practice or games for new injury evaluations, taping, stretching or rehabilitation.
    10. Notify the athletic trainer of a new injury immediately.
    11. Any student-athlete found not following these rules will be asked to leave.
