• It is the responsibility of Hornell City School District Technology Department to:

    • Maintain a technology plan that aligns with state recommendations and ISTE Standards.
    • Develop and implement curriculum to guide students in becoming digital citizens.
    • Regularly assess the technological needs and professional development needs of faculty, staff, and students to enhance learning and further growth.
    • Provide faculty, staff, and students opportunities for technology training.
    • Make recommendations concerning acquisition, implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of technologies within a secure and robust infrastructure.
    • Communicate regularly with grade-levels and departments regarding initiatives.
    • Identify and promote resources to advance technology and its use by students, faculty, and staff.
    • Provide skills and proficiencies necessary for the workforce.
    • Improve the effectiveness of administrative tasks.
    • Recommend allocation of technology resources in accordance with the Professional Development Plan and Technology Plan.
    • Maintain a website page to specifically communicate technology-related information.
